Intro

Forget stuffy museums or the standard architecture strolls and get lost in the beauty of Chicago's urban jungle on the new Off the Grid Tour. Hosted by ACME Hotel Company and Free Chicago Walking Tours, the immersive walking tour showcases some of the city's most Instagrammable spots including Death Alley and the Tiffany Glass Dome at the Chicago Cultural Center, among others.

The Spots

And of course, no off-the-grid-themed Chicago tour would be complete without an opportunity to catch a unique perspective of The Chicago River and our elevated train line, the el. The guide will lead the group through the Loop where guests will see (and walk through) Monument with Standing Beast, take a stroll down Couch Alley (aka Death Alley) and snap a selfie with famous Chicago Theatre sign.

The tour will end at the home of the world’s largest Tiffany Glass dome, on the 3rdfloor of the Chicago Cultural Center. But while all good things must come to an end you’ll be in a perfect location to check out even more photogenic spots. You are steps away from Millennium Park, Buckingham Fountain, Museum Campus and the sweeping panoramic views from the rooftop at Cindy’s.
