Chicago Haunted Tour

On our Chicago Ghost Tour, we will introduce you to some of the paranormal characters that haunt Chicago today some friendly - others not so much. Let our Chicago Ghost Tour guide give you the lay of the land during our 2-hour guided walking tour of Chicago's most haunted sites!

Learn why the Congress Plaza Hotel has decided to board up a particular room, visit the scene of one of America's worse maritime disasters and hear how a terribly designed theatre led to deaths of more than 600 people. All while walking up Chicago's famous Michigan Avenue, through The Loop, across the river and ending in River North.

Chicago Haunted Tour Route

The Chicago Ghost Tour starts at perhaps Chicago's most well-known and most documented haunted site, the Congress Plaza Hotel located at 520 S. Michigan Avenue. Our guide will lead the group up Michigan Avenue taking in the sites of Millennium Park, passing by the Art Institute of Chicago until reaching your second destination, the Chicago Cultural Center. And who would have thought that Chicago's first librarian would never want to leave his post, even after death?

The group will then head into The Loop - the heart of Chicago, to hear a story about the horrific night the Iroquois Theatre set ablaze. It's crazy to think that only 30 years after the Great Chicago Fire of 1871 they were even allowed to open their doors!

Soon you'll be led to the Chicago River. Stop for a few breathtaking pictures and soak in the view. But please, prepare yourself for one of Chicago's most heartbreaking stories of tragedy at the site of The Eastland Disaster. More than 800 bodies had to be removed from the river and you do not want to miss where they were taken to and which Fortune 50 company is going to be taking over that land today.

We end the Chicago Ghost Tour on a much more upbeat note at Harry Caray's - a restaurant bar named after legendary Chicago Cubs announcer Harry Caray. Learn about the mob connection in this cool building and it's the perfect spot to quench your thirst after having walked 1.5 miles.
