Willis Tower History

The Willis Tower, formerly called the Sears Tower, is one of the top attractions in the city of Chicago. Until the Freedom tower was built in New York city, the Willis tower was the tallest building in the United States. It was also the tallest building in the western hemisphere! From 1973 to 1998, it was also the tallest building in the world and is currently in 19th place, so the height of this building has made it a Chicago icon.
